    History

This meal can be compiled in a matter of minutes and because of that beetroot salads are added to our menu very often! So yes, we eat this beet salad with feta and herbs often. In fact, I posted about it a year or so ago on Instagram and thought the recipe deserved a spot on my blog since we eat it so much. So here I am writing about it :).

    Pre-Cooked Steamed Beets

Steamed beets have been available at every single grocery store lately and I am here for it! Especially in this steamed beet salad recipe. Beets have such a balanced earthy taste that can be loved by people of all ages. Growing up we ate raw red beet salad often with just a sprinkle of salt and red chili powder (that's another recipe for ya) but now I love them even more steamed. The texture plus ease of compiling meals makes it a must have in my kitchen.

Seriously though- can I just say how thankful I am that they are available pre-steamed? They are the perfect addition to almost any meal or even a smoothie. My kids love them as an addition to almost any dish such as roti, salads, or even wraps.

Easy to Make Beetroot Salad Pairs Well With...

    1. Lamb Chops
    2. Falafels
    3. Masala Chicken Wings

For this recipe, I highly recommend every single ingredient as is. These few simple ingredients go a long way to please a big crowd. Meaning, it's not spicy or packed with intense flavors. Hence, no curry powders here-haha.

    Party Platter

The feta and dill add a great flavor to the earthy beet base. They compliment each other really well; just as they would in any mediterranean meal. It is also the perfect meal for a picnic, gathering, or a brunch! I have made it a few times for my friends at our regular brunch parties and it is always a hit! Feel free to compile this dish a day before and refrigerate before serving.
